Baseball is a humbling game and will leave many scratching their heads on plays and games that ended totally different than what they thought. The most successful baseball betters have one thing about them that make them different from the rest, the technique is betting with your gut! Extrasensory perception better known as ESP has been a part of human of lore since ancient times. Intuition is an amazing phenomena that's yet entirely defined by human society. We all know what it is, but we've yet to tap into it's full power. Some of the best chess players rely on intuition to pick the right moves in light of millions of possibilities in order to beat computers. There is no doubt that intuition is a powerful resource of human potential. How powerful a tool it is to you though is the real question?
For example in basketball In the 1930s, at Duke University in North Carolina, J.B. Rhine and his wife Louisa tried to develop psychical research into an experimental science. He used Zener cards that are now called ESP cards. They bear the symbols circle, square, wavy lines, cross, and star; there are five cards of each in a pack of 25. He conducted studies on people's ability to accurately identify which card he'd be holding up. His study found that the probability of accuracy ran parallel with what the mathematical probability would show. However, he ran a second control group except this group was hypnotized. The group that was hypnotized had a higher accuracy rate forcing Rhine to assert that intuition is stronger in an open mind.
So how do you tap into your own intuition? It might not be a bad idea to test yourself out for free first. Maybe place some cards face down, and see if you can guess what suit it is? If you get more than 5 out of 25 right you might be more intuitive than you think. I'm not saying to bet only with your gut, but I'd give it minor credence, and definitely wouldn't ignore a strong gut feeling.
